To mantibabs, the holidays a human celebrates are mysteries, they don’t understand the concept of holidays like christmas, valentines day, and the like. To humans, a species as versatile and genetically pliant as mantibabs were the perfect test subjects to create walking, living versions of things they celebrated.

This is how __ was born, a true breakthrough. They held a warm aura that could easily cheer a person up with a single glance. Many weeks and days of raising this small bab, training and handling to get them used to being around humans and children, this bab was the epitome of “mans new best friend”

Not really knowing any of their own kind, or even realising that others like them exist, __ lived with the humans, being as docile and obedient as they wanted them to be, and never raising a fuss.

True to human nature, one perfect bab wasn’t enough and they decided to pluck __ out of their entertainment life and decided to continue experimenting. The shock from how differently they were treating them now to before was such a shock to poor __ and for weeks they could do nothing but accept their fate.

Eventually the poking, prodding, and general uncomfortable attacks on their person were too much to bear and they felt the desperate urge to escape. Not knowing what to do they snapped at one of the researchers and for the first time felt the adrenaline of fight. Normally docile, this bab hadn’t been hindered by restraints or muzzles. A very big mistake by the researchers. Now gaining the fighting instinct, __ snarled and bit at any researcher who came near while they ran out of the building.
